The ‘End of Days’ began it’s intercept course alongside various other vessels of known and unknown heraldry, all the pieces moving in accordance to the plan orchestrated by the Ezekarion Lord in hopes of breaking through the Imperial blockade long enough for traitor reinforcements to make planetfall<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Nightlord’s objective was storming the generatorium and sabotaging the reactors in tantum with the Deathguard corrupting the targeting machine spirit of the Dark Angel’s vessal<\/p>\n\n\n\n
++Mission 01++
+Turn1+
Thanatos and his Atramentar squad successfully teleport into the Dark Angel’s vessel, their boarding action currently going unnoticed.
Upon reaching the first sealed door, Thantatos literally rips the door off for his squad to enter through, the noise alerting the nearby astartes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dark Angels try to assess the situation, but their Lieutenant finds a strange resistance when trying to open the door, Thanatos smirking as his power fist grips the mechanism of the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A squad of Dark Angels veterans see the incoming hulking forms of the Nightlord Terminators, laying down a feeble bolter barrage that simply pings off their void hardened Cataphractii plate.<\/p>\n\n\n

Brother Kios unleashes promethium hell into the 2 Dark Angel veterans, the first warrior cooked inside his own armour, his screams echoing along the tight confines of the corridors, as his brother immediately jumps to the side<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanatos decides to open the door now, the Dark Angels Primaris Lieutenant caught off guard as death literally stares at him, his power fist punching a hole through the Lieutenant, ripping out organs and bone and sinew in a bloody fountain, the body falling slump in the doorway, as Thanatos bows his head to the unknown warrior inside the room, and once again locks the door<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dark Angels response is slow and undisciplined, Primaris Bladeguard veterans stuck behind the bodies of the Veteran squad, the Nightlords holding a vital choke point<\/p>\n\n\n

The Atramentar hold the choke point with stubborn tenacity, brother Kios taking the brunt of the Dark Angel’s close assault, a lucky hit scoring a wound on him, while is angered flailing failed to wound his attacker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanatos stands guard of the door, knowing that the unknown Dark Angel behind the door would be seething in anger at the death of the Lieutenant<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brother Kios eventually falls in combat, the Sargent of the veterans managing to plunge his powersword through the damaged Cataphractii armour. He stands upon the corpse of the fallen Atramentar in triumph, only for the realisation that there are 4 more, who pile into the Sargent and rip him limb from limb, blood and ceramite coating the walls and fellow veterans, as the 4 remaining Atramentar pile in\u2026wolves amongst lambs<\/p>\n\n\n

Thanatos decides enough with these games, as he attempts to open the door to kill his opponent behind, but finds the door won’t budge<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Atramentar kill another 2 veterans, the corpses starting to clog the narrow accessway, the approaching Bladeguard veterans unable to fire into the savage melee, and end up trying to kick and remove the bodies of their fellow astartes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A huge booming vox scream announced something that made the blood of all the Nightlords freeze.. a Venerable Dreadnought had awakened close by, and unknown to the Nightlords, another squad of Veterans had taken up overwatch position inside the primary generator room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boosted by the arrival of his Venerable brother, Captain Ezra of the Deathwing opens the door to meet Thanatos, 2 ancient warriors, now meeting in combat, Ezra’s hammer knocking the Terminator lord off balance and scoring savage wounds on this heinous traitor.
Thanatos would not die here, this warrior would be a fine trophy, as he regains his footing, his powerfist charged up, and pummels the Dark Angel warrior, his storm shield cracking under the heavy assault<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And afew feet away, the Veterans are finally finished off by the Atramentar, and the Bladeguard veterans finally move in<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+Turn 5+
The Atramentar throw themselves at the Primaris super soldiers in a brutal melee moshpit, wounds both sides causing viscous wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Thanatos manages to finally put down the unknown Dark Angel, his powerfist cracking the opponent’s stormshield in 2, his fist only coming to a stop when it crumples the ornate helm of the warrior<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the brutal close quarter fights start winding down, the Dark Angels Venerable Dreadnought stands guard of the generatorium door, blocking the way of the Nightlords even if they manage cut down the Bladeguard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bladeguard refuse to give into the Atramentar Terminators, both sides locked in a deadly maelstrom, both sides getting injured\u2026that is until the 1st of the Bladeguard falls, his body a pulped mess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+Turn 6+
Thanatos maybe an enhanced super soldier, above and beyond the base feelings of the regular human cattle, but in this moment, he felt fear, dread\u2026the operation extraction time was practically upon him and his squad, and they had failed soo far to even make it to the generatorium. He picked up his pace, charging towards his squad\u2026 there was no time left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Atramentar manage to bring down the 2nd Bladeguard, as their Sargent duals against the Bladeguard Sargent. The dual is deadly and precise, both warriors honed to peak killing efficiency, and on any other day, the Atramentar Sargent would of been victorious\u2026. but this wasn’t his day, and he finds the powersword piercing his twin hearts through a deep and precise cut<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Atramentar and Thanatos have no time to mourn, as a huge ball of plasma narrowly avoids hitting Thanatos square on, the booming metallic vox voice of Venerable Dreadnought making it perfectly clear that he stands between them and the success of their mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a final act of defiance, the Atramentar cut down the Bladeguard Sargent unceremoniously, and besides Thanatos, take aim at the ancient Dreadnought<\/p>\n\n\n\n
++Sevatar to Thanatos\u2026.
Prepare for teleportation extraction<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anger washed over Thanatos..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It wasn’t anger that his lord Sevatar had called to extract him and his squad, it was anger that this entire operation had been a farce from the start, a trap<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘MY LORD! 5 more blasted minutes, that’s all I ask! We are betrayed brother, so give me this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+Last Turn+
Before Sevatar could form a reply, Thanatos and his remaining Atramentar charged around the hulking form of the Venerable Dreadnought, Thanatos reaching the bulkhead door to primary generator room, and his Atramentar firing their combi-meltas at the joints and weak points of the ancient warrior, bringing it down to it’s knees as adamantium pivots become molten slag, and the Atramentar finally peel off the front carapace with their powerfists, and assault the internal sarcophagus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BROTHERS, THE OBJECTIVE\u2026.NOW!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Atramentar pile into the generator room behind Thanatos, the small arms fire of another Dark Angel veteran squad harmlessly pinging off their Cataphractii Terminator plate<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was it, no more time\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanatos and the remaining Atramentar throw the melta charges at primary generator 1 and as they explode, the squad is engulfed in blue light, teleported back on-board the ‘End of Days’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It had been a costly sortie, and Thanatos demanded answers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanatos stormed onto the command deck, but a simple hand gesture kept the aged veteran at bay.. Sevatar was still in the middle of a pictfeed with the leader of the Deathguard warband, their sortie partners on-board the Dark Angels ship<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘It seems the legion of black set us both up to fail cousin Scara Mu, and in that, we are now brothers in arms when the time comes to exact our revenge upon the groxwores in black, of that you have my word’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both Sevatar and Lord Scara nodded, and the vox feed was cut<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘Come brother, the Kyroptera have assembled’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Nightlord and the Deathguard vessels flanked the Dark Angel ship, still powered down temporarily thanks to Thanatos.
Both ships let loose heavy broadside shots, scoring deep wounds into the injured vessel before its emergency generator kicked in and brought void shields back online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both warbands broke through the Imperial blockade, heading towards war torn Vigilus, each with their agendas, but now bonded by blood and betrayal.
It would be a dangerous pairing when the time came<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sevatar headed up the Kyroptera meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘Brothers, it would appear that the legion of black is afraid of us and our Deathguard cousins
And well they should be
They have revealed their treachery far too early, hoping to have us reeling before we even step foot on Vigilus..
Let them fear us, for when this is all over, I promise each and everyone of you that the statement we make will make even the fake chosen one Abaddon think twice.
This is our galaxy, this is our justice.
We will bleed loyalist and traitor alike dry, and we shall show them why entire systems fell to their knees and wept and begged for the forgiveness of the Nightlords’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
